Prosci
What is Prosci?
Prosci is a globally recognized change management methodology that helps organizations prepare, support and guide people through change. It provides a structured framework for improving adoption by addressing the human side of transformation alongside technical project delivery.
Rather than focusing only on implementing new systems or processes, Prosci emphasizes helping people understand, adopt and sustain new ways of working.
The ADKAR® Model
One of Prosci’s best-known contributions is the ADKAR® Model, which describes the individual stages people move through during change:
- Awareness of why the change is needed.
- Desire to participate and support the change.
- Knowledge of how to change.
- Ability to apply new skills in daily work.
- Reinforcement to sustain the change over time.
The model recognizes that successful organizational change depends on individuals progressing through each of these stages.
Prosci Throughout a Project
Prosci encourages organizations to integrate change managementReVisionz · Change Management - ReVisionz Terminology Glossa... More throughout the project lifecycle rather than introducing it near implementationWhat is an Implementation? Implementation is the process of ... More.
Activities commonly include:
- Stakeholder engagement
- Communication planning
- Readiness assessments
- Role-based training
- Adoption measurement
By planning these activities alongside technical delivery, organizations can reduce resistance and improve long-term adoption.
Role in Industrial Organizations
Industrial transformation projects frequently introduce new systems, updated processes or revised responsibilities that affect multiple groups across engineering, operations and maintenance.
A structured methodology such as Prosci helps organizations understand who is affected, prepare teams for new ways of working and reinforce adoption after implementation. This creates greater alignment between technical delivery and operational execution.
Prosci & Change Enablement
Many organizations use Prosci as the foundation for their change management practices, then adapt the methodology to reflect their own operating environment and project requirements.
ReVisionz’ Change Enablement Framework follows many of the same core principles, including early stakeholder engagement, targeted role-based communication and training, capability building, adoption measurement and long-term reinforcement.
It extends these practices by aligning them with industrial operations and the realities of engineering projects.
