Summary
Years of facility-by-facility growth had left the client without a common way to manage its most critical documents. Because technology rights were licensed separately at each site, there was no shared structure for naming, tagging or storing process safety information, and teams lost considerable time and money locating it. This inconsistent control over documents like P&IDs also created real exposure during audits and regulatory review.
ReVisionz addressed the foundation first, building the tagging, naming and structural standards the client lacked, then layering in a tag registry and document workflows that gave every facility a common language for its information. Documents shifted from static files to living records the client could track, control and trust, giving regulatory confidence and operational speed the same foundation to grow from.
Challenges
- No shared information standard, since each facility licensed its own technology.
- Regulated documents like P&IDs stored in loosely controlled shared drives.
- Startup delays caused by staff unable to find the information they needed.
Solutions
- Built the plant breakdown structure, tagging standard and document naming standard need to scale systems.
- Implemented Octave InConcert and a master tag registry across multiple plants, focused on process safety information.
- Carried what worked at the first facility into a repeatable change process for every facility after it.
Outcomes
Faster Access to Information
Reduced the time staff spent searching for documents, easing delays that slowed unit startups
Audit-Ready Documentation
Gave the client defensible, traceable records for regulatory and compliance reviews.
Reduced Paper Reliance
Moved critical documentation off paper and into a controlled, traceable system.
A Repeatable Model
Built a standard the client could extend to every remaining facility, not just the first.
